"The Bread and The Dead".  Funny Name, Serious Message.
A 1946 Chevy Stake-bed Truck owned by a Pharmacist and an Educator.  Eric and Katrina Shoffner are residents of Newport, Arkansas.   Both were born and raised in Jackson County Arkansas.  Eric's dad, Carroll Shoffner, is a First Generation Street Rodder.  He actually found the truck, test drove it and brought it home.   Eric is a Second Generation Street Rodder and took the truck from his dad over a serious game of "Rock, Paper and Scissors".   Eric noted: "Dad is still really sore over the loss and challenges me daily to a re-match".   When asked her thoughts about the Shoffner men and the truck, Katrina said: "We noticed from day one that MY truck was something special!"  "Everyone that sees it smiles!"  Eric  added:  "We have found 3 missions for the truck that tie together beautifully."
  1. To "Go".    Mark 16:15-16.
  2. To aid their Community in any Medication Take-Back Events or Drug Prevention opportunities.
  3. To grow their sport/hobby of Street Rodding as members of the National Street Rod Association.
Utilizing this "vehicle" to aid them in their missions, they are proving that you can have fun and still provide meaning.
